Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican American sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation and is an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She began working for ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. The daughter of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from her age of nine. This ability that helped her get her first role as an Univision Production Assistant in Miami. In Miami, she worked with the producers of television shows that were national, like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The CBS subsidiary located in St. Petersburg hired her after this as the sports reporter. In 2009, she moved in Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Reporting on stories on drug trafficking and immigration from both sides of the Mexico-Texas Border, she served as a news reporter on the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 from 5 pm, a news reporter in English at 9 pm and the news anchor was on until 10pm, before returning back to the Spanish channel. In addition, she was frequently asked to serve as a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's Dallas-affiliate station. In that station, she was given greater responsibility. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. She was the producer of Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra as anchor. She was promoted to sports anchor on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. She also played the role for Primer Impacto on UniMas Network as well as Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collins was a native of the city of Veracruz, Mexico. The girl was born on November 22nd, 1985, in Mexico City. She has an older sister. The family in 1992 left Mexico and relocated to Miami. She divorced her parents within a short time and in 1995, she married a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. It was on a summer vacation that she stayed with her sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten the job. At the time of her senior year in high school but having a clear vision of what she would like to accomplish for her life, Antonietta visited the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her requirements. Then, she fell in love with the school. The university offered her the opportunity to study a major. She finished school and enrolled at the university as an undergraduate major in media studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM, and was member of the class, established an ongoing relationship with the student. The professor encouraged her to be confident and was greatly moved by his passion for journalism.
